Road to Canada Games: Gary Macdougall to Coach Team

Badminton Nova Scotia is happy to announce that Gary Macdougall has accepted an invitation to coach the 2019 Canada Games team in Red Dear, Alberta. Gary will be filling the role previously held by Elliott Beals. We are wishing Elliott all the best as he pursues his dream of being a professional coach in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Gary brings many years of experience to the team. As a coach at Northeast Kings Badminton Club, he coached one of the most successful junior clubs in the history of Nova Scotia. More recently, he has attended the Junior Pan-Am championships in Mexico and the Junior World Championships in Indonesia. Through these experiences, Gary has exposure to the highest levels of badminton competition.

Gary will bring a combination of intensity and steadiness to the team. We know he will be a positive force as Nova Scotia attempts to improve from our 7th place finish from 4 years ago in Prince George in 2015.
