Badminton Nova Scotia is a small provincial sport organization with a small, dedicated, volunteer, board of directors. They are elected by Badminton Nova Scotia members and work to grow our sport througout the province and beyond.

Jordan Goodine


Jordan Goodine brings a strong organization and financial background to the president position.

Director of Finance

Jordan Goodine is prominate member of the badminton community. He brings his abilties as a CPA to the Director of finance position.

Robert Proctor

Director of Player Development

Robert Proctor is a long time board member who tirelessly seeks to improve BNS’s framework for developing athletes of all ages and abilities. He is currently seeking the NCCP Competition Develoment Certified status.

Drew Hubley

Director of Tournaments

Drew is a long time member of the Badminton Community and current high performance athlete. He strives to coordinate comptetitive badminton events throughout Nova Scotia.

Pat Thompson

Director of Coaching and Officiating

Patrick Thompson is an active athlete and coach. He is currently seeking the NCCP Competition Develoment Certified status.

Richard Bennicke

Director at Large – North Central

Richard Bennicke is a passonate member of the badminton community. He promotes badminton in schools and coaches the Dal AC Rams badminton team

Kevin O’Keefe

Director at Large – Valley

Kevin has won multiple provincial atlantic and world masters titles. He is a Level III Coach and had participated in Canada Games as an athlete, manager and Coach. He runs an adult badminton club in Aylesford and coaches the 14 Wing Greenwood RCAF Badminton Team.

Our Goals

It takes planning a strategy to grow any organization. Below are the strategic goals of the organization. These goals encompass every facet of the organization. They require the input and support of a large volunteer base to become a reality.


We encourage everyone to join our community and enjoy badminton recreationally or competitively


Grow the organization by growing the membership base and support members of all abilities and ages.

Financial Responsibility

We are committed to applying for funding and working towards the securement of funding through stategic programs and initiatives. Moreover, our finances are transparent and visible to members.

Partnering with private and public organisation for the betterment of our membership and the implementation of our strategic plan.

Build High Perfomance

Continue to grow and develop high performance culture within our top athletes and coaches in collaberation with other sport organisations
