SUMMARY:2018 ECBC Open  - Formally Sackville Open
DESCRIPTION:Sponsored by Victor and Badminton Nova Scotia \nDate/Time:\nFriday March 16th:          5pm-10pm\nSaturday March 17th:     8am-10pm \nThe event (singles\, doubles\, mixed) times will be based on registration and will be posted at the registration site prior to the tournament start date.\nLocation:             Bedford Hammonds Plains Community Centre/CP Allen High School\n202 Innovation Drive\, Bedford\, NS\nEligibility \nThe competition is open to all athletes who are members in good standing with their provincial or territorial badminton association.  Participants must have an active membership with their province. The competition will be conducted under the official rules of Badminton Canada \nEvents:\nU13\, U15\, U17\, Open A and Open B-WS\, MS\, WD\, MD\, XD \nOrder of Play: Singles will begin Friday. Doubles and Mixed doubles will be played on Saturday. \nAge Categories: \nAge categories – The age group of the player will be based on the age of the player on the LAST DAY of the tournament. For example\, with the ECBC tournament\, the players age on March 17th will be used.  So\, if a player is aged 12 years old on that day\, they will be able to play in U13. \nREGISTRATION \n  \nRegistration deadline: Wednesday March 7\, 2018 at 11:59pm \nEntry Fee:\n$25 for 1 event\, $30 for 2 events and $35 for 3 events\nAll participants must be members in good standing with their provincial organization \n  \n  \nShuttles: \nNylon provided for U13 and U15. (Tubes may be purchased for $15 per tube.)\nFeather for U17\, Open A and Open B. Players provide their own. Tubes may be purchased for $27 but limited supply available. \n  \nBNS Eyewear Policy: BNS strongly recommends all athletes wear protective eyewear. \nCanteen: A canteen will be available on site.  The canteen hot & cold canteen menu will be posted prior to the tournament\n\nNo food or drink (other than water) is permitted in the gyms as per HRM policy.  \nOnly indoor footwear is permitted in the gyms (including spectators) as per HRM recreation policy. Please change into indoor footwear or go in sock feet.  We want to ensure the gym floors remain clean for the players games and to ensure their safety \n  \nAccommodation Options: \nComfort Inn\n560 Bedford Hwy\, (902) 443-0303\n$132.05 /night 2 Double Beds\, hot breakfast\, parking\, free Wifi\, microwave and fridge in the room.\nPlease ask for East Coast Badminton Club tournament\nPlease book rooms by March 8\, 2018 \n
