Late entries will be charged and a $50 late fee. \nEVENTS:\nEvents will be held in singles\, doubles and mixed doubles for U15\, U17 and U19 age categories. Badminton Canada will be utilizing the Tournament Software online registration system.\nConsolations will be held for all competitors defeated in their first-round match of the main event. It will be the responsibility of each athlete to notify the draw desk\, within 30-minutes of their opening round defeat. Consolation rounds offered time permitting. \nREFUNDS:\nRefunds are provided to participants\, less a 25% administration fee\, who withdraw prior to the entry deadline of the competition. After the entry deadline\, but before the draws are made\, refunds are provided less a 50% administration fee. Refunds will not be provided for withdrawals after the draws have been made. \nPRIZES:\nMedals for winner\, finalists\, and two third place finishers\nPrizes for Consolation winners \n\n\nSEEDING & DRAWS:\nSeeding done by Badminton Canada’s Seeding Committee and draws according to the BCAN regulations \nORGANIZING COMMITTEE:\nChair: Daryl Beers\nOrganizer:\nReferee: TBD\nBadminton Canada: Mike Luck\, Email: mikeluck@badminton.ca\, Phone: 613-748-5674 x. 223 \nTENTATIVE SCHEDULE:\nFriday – 9AM Start\nSaturday – 9AM Start\nSunday – 9AM Start \nTOURNAMENT RULES:\nThe 21-Rally Point scoring format will be utilized. Three-minute warm-up and ten-minute default will be strictly enforced. The use of protective eyewear is strongly recommended during play (not mandatory). \nCONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION:\nBadminton Canada will be following the 2020 BWF Calendar year for the entire 2019-2020 season. Competition is open to athletes born 2006 or later (U15)\, 2004 or later (U17)\, 2002 or later (U19). All participants in Junior Elite Series tournaments must be registered members of BCan or a Member Association of the Badminton World Federation (BWF) and provide their member ID upon online registration. \nThe registration fee to become a member of Badminton Canada will be an annual fee (Sept 1st-August 31st) and you must be a registered member in good standing with a BCan provincial membership organization in order to be a registered member of BCan.\n*Non-Canadian association participants will be charged an extra $25 fee for entering a tournament. \nThe maximum number of entrants is 150. Should the maximum entry be exceeded\, priority will be given to players/team Yonex Canadian Junior National Team. After which\, priority will be given to players based on their date of entry onto the tournament. Doubles and Mixed teams will be considered based on the latest entry date of the two partners. \nCLOTHING REGULATIONS:\nBWF Regulations and the Badminton Canada Competition Uniform Regulations shall be followed\nUse of protective eyewear is strongly recommended during play\, but is not required. \nCOACH CERTIFICATION:\nAll coaches must comply with the Badminton Canada Coaching Certification Policy \nHOTEL ACCOMODATIONS:\nHotel(s) offering your special group rate:\n• Four Points by Sheraton Moncton for 127 CAD-177 CAD per night\nBook your group rate for Yonex Atlantic Junior Elite Series \nWAIVER OF RIGHTS:\nI hereby\, for myself\, my heirs\, executors and administrators\, waive and release any and all claims for damages I may have against Badminton Canada\, any of it’s member organizations\, the host venue\, and their respective agents\, members of staff\, for any and all injuries which may be suffered by me\, through accident or negligence\, in conjunction with my competition and attendance at all related activities of this event.
