SUMMARY:2020 BNS Provincial Championships
DESCRIPTION:Hosted by Badminton Nova Scotia\nSponsored by Victor \nDate/Time:Friday 3pm-10pm\nSaturday 8am-10pm\nSunday 8am-5pm \nLocation: Junior Badminton Training Centre\n200 Bluewater Road\nBedford\, Nova Scotia \nEligibility\nThis is a Closed Tournament. Participants must be residents of Nova Scotia and have an active membership with a provincial or territorial badminton association. The competition will be conducted under the official rules of Badminton Canada\nAge restrictions and qualifications are based on the age categories listed under events. Open events have no age restrictions. To compete in an age category the player must be eligible for that age category for the entire 2019/2020 season. \nIf registration numbers are low we will be moving to a 2 day event. We will make the decision on Thursday March 19\, 2020. Notice will be published on tournament software and on BNS Facebook page. \nEvents: U13\, U15\, U17\, Open A and Open B-WS\, MS\, WD\, MD\, XD \nOrder of Play: Singles will begin Friday. Doubles and Mixed doubles will be played on Saturday\, finals will be played on Sunday \nAge Categories:\nU13-2008 – 2009\nU15-2006-2007\nU17-2004-2005 \nRegistration deadline: Wednesday March 18th\, 2020 at 11:59pm\nWithdrawal deadline: Wednesday March 18th\, 2020 at 11:59PM\nWithdrawals received prior to the withdrawal deadline will be subject to a 15% administration fee. Withdrawals after the withdrawal deadline and tournament no-shows will not be eligible for a refund. \nEntry Fee: 1 Event $40\, 2 and 3 events $60 \nEntry fees are payable online at the time of registration. \nREGISTRATION \nShuttles: Victor shuttles are the official tournament shuttle\nAll match shuttles are included in entry fee. \nFeather shuttles will still be available for purchase at the tournament for $30 \nBNS Eyewear Policy: BNS strongly recommends all athletes wear protective eyewear \nPLEASE NOTE:\nNo outdoor shoes allowed in the gym.\nNo food or drink allowed in gym\, with the exemption of water \nThere will be a canteen on site. \nBadminton Nova Scotia’s Annual General Meeting will take place March 28\, 2020
