Late registration deadline is Friday October 13th 2017 @11:59PM PST. No entries will be accepted after October 13th. \nEVENTS:\nOpen events will be held in singles\, doubles and mixed doubles.\nBadminton Canada will be utilizing the Tournament Software online registration system.\nConsolations will be held for all competitors defeated in their first-round match of the main event. It will be the responsibility of each athlete to notify the draw desk\, within 30-minutes of their opening round defeat.\nConsolation rounds offered time permitting. \nRegistration \nREFUNDS/WITHDRAW PENALTY:\nRefunds are provided to participants\, less a 25% administration fee\, who withdraw prior to the entry deadline of the competition.\nAfter the entry deadline\, but before the draws are made\, refunds are provided less a 50% administration fee.\nRefunds will not be provided for withdrawals after the draws have been made.\nFor athletes who chose to withdraw from any event after the registration deadline (October 13\, 2017) will be withdrawn from all events the athlete has registered to participate in. \nPRIZES:\n$6000 prize money to be divided between winners\, finalists\, third place finishers\nPrizes for Consolation winners \nSEEDING & DRAWS\nSeeding done by Badminton Canada’s Seeding Committee and draws according to the Canadian regulations \nTOURNAMENT FEES:\nThe entry fee of $115 per player must be made online. Three-minute warm-up and ten-minute default will be strictly enforced. The use of protective eyewear is strongly recommended during play (not mandatory). \nCONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION:\nAll participants in Elite Series tournaments must be registered members of BCan or a Member Association of the Badminton World Federation (BWF) and provide their member ID upon online registration.\nThe registration fee to become a member of Badminton Canada will be an annual fee (Sept 1st-August 31st) and you must be a registered member in good standing with a BCan provincial membership organization in order to be a registered member of BCan.\n*Non-Canadian association participants will be charged an extra $15 fee for entering a tournament. \nThe maximum number of entrants is 150. Should the maximum entry be exceeded\, priority will be given to players/teams ranked in the top 10 in each event on the Canadian National ranking list. After the top 10 ranked players/teams in each event\, priority will be given to players based on their date of entry onto the tournament. Doubles and Mixed teams will be considered based on the latest entry date of the two partners. \nCLOTHING REGULATIONS:\nBWF Regulations and the Badminton Canada Competition Uniform Regulations shall be followed-http://www.badminton.ca/file/708545/?dl=1.\nUse of protective eyewear is strongly recommended during play\, but is not required.\nCLUB RULES – VANCOUVER LAWN TENNIS & BADMINTON CLUB\nPlayers are permitted to wear only WHITE clothing for both warm-up and competitive play.\n-Each individual clothing item can have a maximum of 10% non-white colour\n-This rule does not apply to court shoes\, which can have colour\nOnly texting is permitted on cell phones while anywhere on the Club premises \nCOACH CERTIFICATION:\nDeadline for registration as a coach is THE SAME AS THE REGISTRATION DEADLINE FOR ATHLETES.
