All athletes will begin the event in the A draw and after a first round loss will fall into a C draw which will consist of a single elimination with Consolation D round. Athletes in the A draw who win their first match but lose their second will fall into a B draw which will consist of single elimination with no consolation round. It will be the responsibility of each athlete to notify the draw desk\, within 30-minutes of their first or second round defeat to be placed in the waterfall B\, C or D draw. \nAll players will receive National Ranking points related to their placing in the A\,B C & D draws\nBadminton Canada will be utilizing the Tournament Software online registration system. \nENTRY FEE: The entry fee for 1 event is $60\nThe entry fee for 2-3 events is a $80 entry fee \nREFUNDS/WITHDRAW PENALTY: Refunds are provided to participants who withdraw prior to the entry deadline of the competition. After the entry deadline\, but before the draws are made\, refunds are provided less a 50% administration fee.\nRefunds will not be provided for withdrawals after the draws have been made.\nFor athletes who chose to withdraw from any event after the late registration deadline (October 19 2018) will be withdrawn from all events the athlete has registered to participate in. \nREGISTRATION \nSEEDING & DRAWS: Seeds will be posted 2 weeks out of competition.\nDraws will be posted (10-7 days out).\nTimeline to be posted 5 days prior to competition.\nAll seeding and draws will abide by the BCAN Senior Ranking & Seeding Policy \nPRIZES: $3\,000 for winner & finalists of the A draw\nPrizes for B\, C\, and D winners \nCONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION: All participants in Elite Series tournaments must be: \n• Registered members of their respective provincial/territorial badminton associations\n• Hold a national level licence or international licence issued by BCan\,\n• or a Member Association of the Badminton World Federation (BWF) and provide their member ID upon online registration. \nThe registration fee to become a member of Badminton Canada will be an annual fee (Sept 1st-August 31st) and you must be a registered member in good standing with a BCan provincial membership organization in order to be a registered member of BCan.\n*Non-Canadian association participants will be charged an extra $15 fee for entering a tournament. \nThe maximum number of entrants is 220. Should the maximum entry be exceeded\, priority will be given to players/teams ranked in the top 10 in each event on the Canadian National ranking list. After the top 10 ranked players/teams in each event\, priority will be given to players based on their date of entry onto the tournament.
