Open-Yonex Atlantic Series\nSponsored by: Yonex and Badminton P.E.I. \nDate:\nFriday Sept.13th – Sunday Sept.15th\, 2019 \nTime:\nFriday 10am – 8pm.\nSaturday 9am – 8pm.\nSunday 10am – 2pm. \nLocation:\nUPEI GYM\, 550 University Ave\, Charlottetown\, PE C1A 4P3. \nRegistration Deadline:\nSaturday\, August 24th\, 2019 at 11:59 \nWithdrawal Deadline:\nSaturday\, August 24th 2019 at 11:59\nLate entries will be accepted until Wednesday August 28th\, 2019 with an additional fee of $25\nWithdrawals received prior to the withdrawal deadline will be subject to a 15% administration fee. Withdrawals after the withdrawal deadline and tournament no-shows will not be eligible for a refund.\nIf athletes fail to enter by the deadline\, they will be permitted entry until Wednesday with a $25 late fee; this structure is similar to the model used by Badminton Canada \nEvents:\nU15\, U19 and Open . All open athletes guaranteed 3 matches. \nOpen events will be using an “ABCD” waterfall format. All athletes start in the same round. For example\, all athletes wishing to play men’s singles should register for “MS”. Your division is selected based on the first two rounds of results. \nPlayers may only register for ONE SINGLES\, ONE DOUBLES AND ONE MIXED EVENT FOR A MAXIMUM TOTAL OF THREE DIFFERENT EVENTS FROM THE AGE BRACKETS. \nOrder of Play:\nSingles begin at 10am Friday .\nDoubles will begin Saturday morning at 9am followed by Mixed Doubles. \nAll main round finals matches will be played on Sunday (No Bronze Medal Match)\,All Senior B\,C&D and Junior B\,C&D final match will play following their events on Friday and Saturday.\, Anyone who is non-medically absent for a scheduled match after their first match of the tournament will lose all points accumulated in the tournament for that event. \nAwards:\nAll Main Round Senior A Events will be awarded Cash Prizes. Tournament Prizes will be awarded to All senior and Junior B\,C&D winners. All main round junior finalists will be awarded medals. \nEligibility:\nParticipants must have an active current 2019/2020 season Provincial or National membership. ( you will have to update your membership for the 2019-2020 season\nto make sure you game). The competition will be conducted under the official rules of Badminton Canada. \nThe age group of the player will be based on the age of the player on the LAST DAY of the Dec 31st 2020. The same as Badminton Canada guideline. \nFees:\nFor U15-Birth years-2006\, 2007\, 2008\, 2009 or later\n1 event $40\, 2 or 3 events $60 (20 Dollars will be refund when registration closed) \nFor U19-Birth Years-2002\, 2003\, 2004 & 2005 or later\n1 event $60\, 2 or 3 events $80 \nAdult or Open\n1 event $60\, 2 or 3 events $80 \nEntry fees are payable on-line at the time of registration. \nRegistration \nShuttles:\nAll events are AS20 Yonex feather shuttle.
