2023/2024 Provincial Team Selection Practice

The 2023/2024 Badminton Nova Scotia Provincial Team Program will be beginning on September 2, 10am-2pm at JBTC in Bedford, NS.

This practice will serve for player identification and selection for the team. 

The cost to register for the practice is $40 which can be paid by e-transfer on the day of the practice. If the player is selected to the team $40 will be credited towards towards their program fee.

Selection will be based off several factors; past season results at Provincial, Atlantic and National tournaments as well as performance at the identification camp. 

Players interested in participating in the Provincial Team Program should be/have: 

– One of the top performing U15, U17, U19, Senior players in Nova Scotia,

– Committed and showing the potential to be competitive in their age category at national tournaments.

– Ability to play national elite tournaments throughout the season and attend the year end National Championships (Senior in February in BC and Junior in May in Moncton NB).

– Able to attend 3 hour practices every second Saturday (some variation due to tournaments and scheduling) with approximately 75% of practices being located in Halifax. 

– The fee for the program is $500 for the season if selected to the team.

Those who appear to meet the requirements will receive a confirmation email on August 30th.
