Eligibility
This is a Closed Tournament. Participants must be residents of Nova Scotia and have an active membership with a provincial or territorial badminton association. The competition will be conducted under the official rules of Badminton Canada
Events: U13, U15, U17, Open A and Open B-WS, MS, WD, MD, XD
Order of Play: Singles will begin Friday. Doubles and Mixed doubles will be played on Saturday, finals will be played on Sunday
Age Categories:
Age categories – The age group of the player will be based on the age of the player on the LAST DAY of the tournament. For example, with the Provincials tournament, the players age on April 8th will be used. So, if a player is aged 12 years old on that day, they will be able to play in U13.
Registration deadline: Wednesday March 28th, 2018 at 11:59pm
Withdrawal deadline: Wednesday March 28th, 2018 at 11:59PM
Withdrawals received prior to the withdrawal deadline will be subject to a 15% administration fee. Withdrawals after the withdrawal deadline and tournament no-shows will not be eligible for a refund.
Entry Fee: 1 Event $40, 2 Events $50, 3 events $60
Entry fees are payable online at the time of registration.
Shuttles: Victor shuttles are the official tournament shuttle
All match shuttles are included in entry fee.
Feather shuttles will still be available for purchase at the tournament for $27
BNS Eyewear Policy: BNS strongly recommends all athletes wear protective eyewear
PLEASE NOTE:
No outdoor shoes allowed in the gym.
No food or drink allowed in gym, with the exemption of water
Badminton Nova Scotia’s Annual General Meeting will take place April 7th, 2018
