Withdrawals received prior to the withdrawal deadline will be subject to a 15% administration fee. Withdrawals after the withdrawal deadline and tournament no-shows will not be eligible for a refund.
All late entries will be DENIED
Events:
U13, U15, U17 and Open. All Open athletes guaranteed 3 matches.
Open events will be using an “ABCD” format. All athletes start in the same round. For example, all athletes wishing to play men’s singles should register for “MS”. Your division is selected based on the first two rounds of results
Players may only register for a MAXIMUM OF 3 EVENTS and may only register for one level per event. E.g If you register for A Men’s Singles you may not register for B Men’s singles, but you may register for B Men’s Doubles
Order of Play:
All matched will (Open and Junior) will begin 1pm
Doubles will begin Saturday morning at 9am followed by Mixed Doubles
All A Finals, B Finals, Junior Finals and bronze medal matches will be played on Sunday.
Anyone who is non-medically absent for a scheduled match after their first match of the tournament will lose all points accumulated in the tournament for that event.
All players should be present 30 minutes before the scheduled time of their match. Default time will be 10 minutes after first call
Eligibility:
Participants must have an active membership with their provincial organization. The competition will be conducted under the official rules of Badminton Canada.
The age group of the player will be based on the age of the player on the LAST DAY of the tournament. For example, with the 2018 Yonex Scott Open tournament, the players age on OCTOBER 21st will be used. So, if a player is aged 15 years old on that day, they will be able to play in U15.
Fees:
1 Event $45, 2 Events $60, 3 events $75
Entry fees are payable on-line at the time of registration.
Shuttles:
All events are feather shuttle. All match shuttles are included in entry fee.
BNS Eyewear Policy:
BNS strongly recommends all athletes wear protective eyewear
No food or drink (other than water) is permitted in the gym.
