NOTE-Due to low registration numbers, we will be moving to a 2 day tournament, Saturday October 19 and Sunday October 20.
Format:
Saturday: Warm up will start at 11am with play starting at 11:30am.
Sunday: Warm up 8am with play starting at 8:30am

Registration Deadline: Wednesday, October 9th, 2019 at 11:59PM
Withdrawal Deadline: Wednesday, October 9th 2019 at 11:59PM
Late entries will be accepted until Friday, October 11th, 2019 with an additional fee of $25
Withdrawals received prior to the withdrawal deadline will be subject to a 15% administration fee. Withdrawals after the withdrawal deadline and tournament no-shows will not be eligible for a refund.
If athletes fail to enter by the deadline, they will be permitted entry until Friday with a $25 late fee; this structure is similar to the model used by Badminton Canada
Events:
U15, U19 and Open. All open athletes guaranteed 3 matches.
Open events will be using an “ABCD” waterfall format. All athletes start in the same round. For example, all athletes wishing to play men’s singles should register for “MS”. Your division is selected based on the first two rounds of results.
Players may only register for ONE SINGLES, ONE DOUBLES AND ONE MIXED EVENT FOR A MAXIMUM TOTAL OF THREE DIFFERENT EVENTS FROM THE AGE BRACKETS.
Order of Play:
Juniors will begin 1pm Friday, Open will begin 4pm.
Doubles will begin Saturday morning at 9am followed by Mixed Doubles.
Anyone who is non-medically absent for a scheduled match after their first match of the tournament will lose all points accumulated in the tournament for that event.
All players should be present 30 minutes before the scheduled time of their match. Default time will be 10 minutes after first call.
Eligibility:
Participants must have an active membership with their provincial organization. The competition will be conducted under the official rules of Badminton Canada.
Fees:
For U15-Birth years-2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 or later
1 event $40, 2 or 3 events $60 (20 Dollars will be refund when registration closed)
For U19-Birth Years-2002, 2003, 2004 & 2005 or later
1 event $60, 2 or 3 events $80
Adult or Open
1 event $60, 2 or 3 events $80
Entry fees are payable on-line at the time of registration.
Shuttles:
All events are feather shuttle. All match shuttles are included in entry fee.
BNS Eyewear Policy:
BNS strongly recommends all athletes wear protective eyewear
No food or drink (other than water) is permitted in the gym.
