BNS 2021 AGM
Summary
The 2021 AGM will be held on May 30th 2021 starting at 7PM ADT. Due to the current public health situation, the AGM will be held virtually on Google Meet see below for additional information.
The agenda of the AGM will be as follows:
- Call to order;
- Establishment of Quorum;
- Approval of the Agenda;
- Adoption of Minutes of the previous Annual Meeting;
- President’s Report;
- Financial Report;
- Board, Staff and Committee Reports;
- Election of new Directors;
- Approval of new Bylaws

Election of Directors
The following directors are up for re-election with the currently nominated individuals listed below:
- Vice President
- Drew Hubley (Re-offering)
- Director of Finance
- Claire MacDougall (Re-offering)
- Director of Competitions
- Bev White (Re-offering)
- Director at Large Cape Breton
- Nick Driscoll (Re-offering)
- Director at Large Central
- Richard Bennick (Re-offering)
The following role(s) are vacant:
- Director of Community Engagement & Member Services
We welcome any member to put their name forward for the vote for any of the directorships listed above. Anyone wishing to be nominated for a position should contact Badminton Nova Scotia at [email protected] on or before May 23rd 2021. Nominations made after this point shall be introduced from the floor. Positions with more than one nomination will be decided with a vote at the AGM.
Ratification of New Bylaws
New bylaws were announced March 28, 2021. These bylaws will be voted upon during the AGM. We encourage all members to review the bylaws and prior to the vote. Amendments must be submitted on or before May 23rd 2021 and will not be accepted from the floor.
